Proceso paso a paso

  1. 1

    Check your eligibility

You generally need to be 18 or older, have Dutch basic health insurance, live or work legally in the Netherlands, and stay under the 2026 income and asset limits. We check your situation first at no cost.

  2. 2

    Provide your documents

We need your BSN, Dutch IBAN, health insurance provider name, policy number, and estimated annual income. Most clients complete this in under 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Sign the machtiging

You sign an official Dutch authorization (machtiging) that allows Benefitly to apply on your behalf via toeslagen.nl — the same document used by Dutch accountants.

  4. 4

    We submit your application

We log in to toeslagen.nl as your authorized intermediary, fill in all details, check the earliest possible start date (up to 3 months back), and submit. You receive a confirmation with reference number.

  5. 5

    Government approves and pays

The Belastingdienst issues a decision within 4–8 weeks. Once approved, payments go directly to your Dutch bank account on the 1st of each month.
